Chapter 3 : Newton follows a Yellow-backed Toad and finds the 'Lizard' of Oz' Page 3
Anyway, as the horror was all inside his head, silly bear, it didn't help at all. BUT - it DID mean that Newton was not in the least bit aware of the real danger that was about to cut his chances of escape to zero - whilst he'd been so distracted he hadn't noticed that the conveyor had weaved it's way round and [of course] had come back into the terminal again very much to the relief of those passengers who had not yet found their luggage.
Things were not going well with Newton's escape plan, a large fat hairy hand came down towards him and Newton tried the 'ears over the eyes' trick again. The hand belonged to a big man wearing shorts, safari shirt and a panama hat and the case behind which Newton had been hiding, also belonged to him!
The big man strode away with his case and Newton's cover was blown! He decided to make a run for it and take his chances in the already thinning baggage lounge crowd.
